Tuesday, July 14 2009 at 5:30 PM, I was cycling on West Davidson St
towards the bridge at south end of pond Lumsden pond. This was about 500
m east junction of Black River Rd. Lat-Long for Google Maps search is
(45.0113, -64.3780) (Google Maps incorrectly labels this "Greenfield")
   (or UTM 391414 4985129 20T)

I saw 4 turkeys (1 adult male + 3 hens) walking on the road.
They didn't look normal commercially raised turkeys- a big smaller.

I tried to get shoot a few photos, holding my bike in one hand,
and camera in other. The best I got is :

   So are these?:

  1 True wild turkeys ( unlikely )

2 A small-sized breed for backyard raising, on a stroll; hopefully they
will return safely to their home

3 Feral turkeys ; either they or their parents were once backyard turkeys,
and escaped captivity.

At the bridge I asked a lady who was out jogging, but she had never
turkeys along that road.
