June bugs were here early this year and I had never seen so many at one
time. For several nights in a row the screens were covered with them. =
This
was mid-to late May.

Someone mentioned poor fruit set on their trees; our cherry trees are =
loaded
with fruit and the pear tree is as well. All of this damp weather will
probably ruin the cherries since they are now almost ready to be picked.

They are way down - even to the point where I'm wondering where the =
flies
are on my compost bin in Halifax. No wasps, bees scarce. Haven't seen =
a
single June bug in Halifax or at the cottage. It's eerie.
