I was searching on the internet today looking for what this bird I have visiting my hanging sunflower feeder. I tried to get photos again today but I don't think there is anything that is usable. I found this link and IF this bird had a soft golden colour where the orangey/red bits are and if the place on the backside above the tail, between the folded wings was a grey with a light gold wash, and if the over all colouring was that of a female purple finch, with paler striping, then my guess this would be my bird. The bird on the left in the link below.
