Started atlasing yesterday in my Grafton Square quite early. Went well until the winds came up forcing me to seek out point counts that were more protected. ok until it started to drizzle. Only completed 10 PCs. Found another Willow Flycatcher...apparently not as rare as thought!! As I was walking back to the vehicle from a point count, an individual was singing. Should have heard it from my p.c. spot. In any case it was at UTM E0368633, N4992468. The location is off Coleman Road.....it runs south from Brooklyn St. and then West to the Black Rock Road. On some maps it is called Cornwallis Square. The bird was at the right-angled corner. The other Willow Flycatcher was at West Black Rock Road and Hiltz Road...UTM E0365157, N4998779. The former Willow is more reliable, I believe. An interesting part of these sightings is that in each case Alder Flycatchers can be heard at the same time as the Willow. Previously I have only heard that pairing in S. Ontario. Angus
