Tonight I'm visiting one of my students at the Mersey-Tobeatic
Research Institute just outside Keji. She took me to see the Chimney
Swifts at the McGowan Lake Fish Hatchery, Caledonia. We counted 157
swifts, about 75,000 mosquitoes (+/-), 42,450 black flies, and about
788 no-see-ums. Granted, the latter were hard to see in the fading
light, so there may have been more.

;)

Well, at least the swift numbers are fairly accurate.
