--=====================_10857187==.ALT Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed Hi All; I've uploaded photos from a recent trip to Ontario. The photos are mostly a mixture of birds and wildflowers. The URL is here: http://tinyurl.com/ncj96f The links to the four albums are on the left side of the page. With the assistance of several correspondents, especially Joan Czapalay, I've placed tentative IDs on the five violet photos: #1- LeConte's Violet (Viola affinis) #2- Common Blue Violet (Viola papilionacea) #3- Smooth Yellow Violet (Viola pensylvanica) #4- Sweet White Violet (Viola blanda) #5- Birdsfoot Violet ( Viola pedata) I also spent some time with Newcomb's Wildflower guide, and various internet resources. Violets are a more difficult group than I had imagined. The ID for #4 is likely a bit shaky, and perhaps that for #2 as well.
