CHANGE!!: For Cape Split Hike No. 2, for the Blomidon Naturalists
Society, the day and date have been CHANGED from this Saturday, May
30, TO SUNDAY, MAY 31!! Leaders now are Roy Bishop and Jim Wolford.
Roy and I have discussed the weather prediction and decided to change
the day in favour of the best current forecast. Times are as
advertised previously, namely 8:15 a.m. at the Wolfville Waterfront
Park parking lot and 9:00 a.m. at the trailhead at the end of the
road west of Scots' Bay (drive north from the Borden monument in
downtown Canning). Dress for all sorts of weather, and remember that
this walk is 8 km. or 5 miles one way, with a few wet, muddy places
in the first mile. Bring food and water or other liquid, field
guides, binoculars, hand lens, sturdy footwear, and good spirits!
ALL ARE WELCOME!

Also know that the Halifax Field Naturalists are also doing this on
the same day, but starting at 10 a.m. at the Scots' Bay trailhead.
Leader is Leslie/Lesley Butters, I believe. Just today Wendy and Bob
McDonald walked the trail and had a very nice day with lots of
flowers etc. ALL ARE WELCOME!!

If anyone is still confused, please e-mail me (Jim) for
clarification. Neither of these walks is restricted to just members
of the two naturalist clubs. Now let's hope Sunday will be a nice day!!

Cheers from Jim, 542-9204
