Personally, I think snakes are neat. Rats!....I don't even want to go

You're not saying that it could have swam up through the toilet??? Or
do you mean along the pipe through the wall?
They are doing major construction on our street, Replacing all the
city sewage lines and water lines, then will repave & put all new curbs in.
And they are currently right in front of our house and it has just been
vibrating from all the heavy equipment & crashing & digging, etc. Will be
going on all summer. (it's a dust bowl!)
Hmmmm. (sigh...) Might be an idea to go & check around the foundation
of the house. :o(
