Hi Ken & All,        May 18, 2009
    Sweet Coltsfoot seems to appreciate the conjunction of bare soil and =
light.=20

    The only time I have seen this plant flowering in about 5 decades =
was on the fill & ditch of a recently constructed woods road. For 2 =
years the flowers were vigorous and highly perfumed. Subsequently there =
were plants only for several years followed by no plants.

Yt, Dave Webster, Kentville

  From time to time we found our heads down and discovered about 40 =
SWEET COLTSFOOT plants in bloom at NAD 83-  504862 N 5027540 E in a =
roadside ditch This is only the second time I have seen this flower as =
Harry Brennan had showed me a few plants back of Maple L. ( Pictou Co). =
about 10 years ago. Those plants have since disappeared.=20
