Unusually high number of woodpeckers on the property this year up to 6 some mornings, both hairy and downeys. A dozen common mergansers on the cove and about a dozen grackles in the village. This morning a very healthy looking Coyote trotted across the road between exit 5 and 6. An Osprey is working on the power line nest at the head of the bay.
