We made a flying trip up Route 8 yesterday afternoon and the 2 osprey nests are occupied. the one the left on the powerline had one bird , the second much further along, also on power lines had two birds building from the look of things. When we returned and came down the west connector to the old # 3 at the Liverpool Hwy dept salt shed, intersection the peeper chorus (about 9 I think) was tremendous. That wet spot right on the right of the intersection can get quite raucous! Still just a few subdued peeps here. No owls heard this am Marg Millard in White Point, Queens http://margmillard.ca
