Hi All;

While walking the dog today along the Power Lake trail on the
Chebucto Peninsula I encountered two early leps: a Mourning Cloak,
and a moth that I've tentatively identified as Catocala briseis. It
was quite a striking moth, one I'd not seen before, and I used the
following web page to suss out a tentative ID:

http://www.silkmoths.bizland.com/catNovaScotia.htm

And, of course, I hadn't brought my camera along.

Cheers,

Blake
