Index of Subjects Sorry Andrew, a source close to DNR in Milton says it is a hoax. the picture is of a big cat from out west. the story has been around awhile but seems to be recirculation. On the other hand I know first hand they exist here. I have seen one in the Granite Village area. No one believes me but I know what I saw and not from too far away. . :?) One of the old-timers who hangs out in my printship off and on came in today and told me that a friend of his had emailed him to report that a large male cougar had been struck by a car inland of Liverpool somewhere, either yesterday or recently. He claims to have a photo, though I've not seen it personally. My friend reports that the animal was not fully killed my the blow from the vehicle and that someone from DNR had to come out and shoot it. He quoted a weight in excess of 200 pounds, but I don't know how much fishing story math is involved here. I can't personally vouch for any of this. But has anyone else heard anything about this alleged incident? I would think that if it were true someone at DNR or one of the biology departments would know about it by now.
