Angela,

The Nature Trust is hosting a number of events and walks throughout the
province this spring and summer you may be interested in. There will be a
guided walk at the Meander River Conservation Lands on May 23 (near Smiley's
Provincial Park). Also, on the 30th is "River Days" an event including a
property celebration, BBQ and guided walk on the St. Mary's River.

For detailed event information and other events please visit the website
www.nsnt.ca or contact our staff at the office 425.5236 or myself 406.3320

Subject: [NatureNS] smelt runs

My friend has family coming to visit through April and May. They are
from "Out West". I'm fishing around on this forum for info. regarding
cool things to see and do ( nature-ly inclined )

She was wondering about smelt runs. Are there any around here? (
within a few hours of Windsor ) Any "pancake breakfasts" like the
Eagle Watch weekend but around smelt?

What might be some of your recommendations for other cool things to
see or to do in NS during that time? Is it possible to do any whale
watching? Water fall hikes? Nature hikes?

Thanks

Angela in Windsor
