In addition to the two records below, on our Wolfville Count Day,
Dec. 14, at least two of the feeder-watchers reported 2 to 5 RED-
WINGED BLACKBIRDS.

DEC. 18, 2008 - Paul Elderkin phoned this morning to report a flock
of about 12 very probable RED-WINGED BLACKBIRDS (most or all females,
I think?) in his yard on the boundary of east Wolfville and Greenwich.

DEC. 19, 2008 - John Horton called with a description of what sounds
like more female/imm. RED-WINGED BLACKBIRDS?, and he will send me a
digital photo today. YES, his photo through two panes of glass with
a telephoto lens was easily good enough to show 3 of the female/imm.
RED-WINGED BLACKBIRDS at the feeders with other birds.

Cheers from JIm in Wolfville
