I have a flock of about twenty goldfinch today. Nothing like a little snow, cold weather and niger seed to bring them out, although I do notice they are eating black sunflower seed with great enthusiasm. Other birds are rare yet, but I did see a female cardinal yesterday, the usual chicadees and ocasionally a downy woodrecker. Roland.
