Hi all, A few highlights from the CBC at Hartlen Pt. Nothing earth shattering, and several misses of species scouted earlier, but pretty cool (in both senses) nonetheless. In no particular order: Northern Goshawk way in the back of the golf course a male Harlequin Duck, flushed from mouth of Back Cove and disappeared toward the point Yellow-breasted Chat in thickets along Monster Lane Orange-crowned Warbler barely surviving with chickadees, first pull-off to left off Romkey (from Shore Rd) several Glaucous Gulls (don't know final count); at least two 2nd winter opposite Devils Island, one adult flying by the point two Snowy Owls on Devils Island, one near each end unidentified raptor perched on Devils Island Northern Harrier over the golf course Sharp-shinned Hawk behind Tallahassee School and along beach opposite Devils Island Cheers, Andy Horn Halifax Birders included: Domenic Cormier Charles Cron Danika Daley Heidi Harding Peter Oickle Sarah Wong
