Dec. 13, 2008 - Doug and Joanne Linzey saw a potentially very
interesting bird today -- in a flying flock of CANADA GEESE seen from
just south of the Canning Aboiteau at about 3:45 p.m., there was one
goose that was strikingly only about half the size of the others in
the flock -- possible CACKLING GOOSE??? These geese were all
silhouetted, so they couldn't even tell if it was a Canada Goose.
Whoever is doing that area tomorrow for the Wolfville Xmas Count
should be alerted anyway, and hopefully someone will turn up that
flock and small goose sometime soon.

Cheers from Jim in Wolfville
