Index of Subjects December 6, 2008 - mid afternoon The female Summer Tanager was seen on Waegoltic Ave in Halifax at around 3 pm. I was there early this morning. No sign of the tanager so I left at 11:45 am. I came back later this afternoon. The temperature was -1 C. The tanager (bright yellow breast) appeared and seemed to favour Lauren Banks' backyard. The House finches and a Baltimore oriole were there at the feeders near the tennis court. Many thanks to Patricia Chalmers and Lauren Banks for sharing the news with Nature NS Cheers Liz Doull
