Hi all-

I spent a day at the Kejimkujik Seaside (Little Port Joli side) on
Friday before the storm, and saw the following, in no particular
order:

~150 Bufflehead
~100 Common Merganser
~25 Red-breasted Merganser
~120 Black Duck
1 Black-bellied Plover
~60 Herring gull
1 Greater black-back Gull
3 Ring-billed gull
1 Northern Harrier
1 Bald Eagle
2 Great Blue Heron
1 Flicker
4 Song Sparrows
2 Golden-crowned Kinglets
Several Blue Jays and Black Capped Chickadees

Of special interest for this area was a flock of ~75 European
Starlings, feeding all day in 2 hectares of saltmarsh. I've never
seen Starlings at the Seaside before, let alone feeding in a saltmarsh
and so far from a town. I must admit there have been few days when
I've found Starlings as interesting.

The Bufflehead numbers are also the largest I've seen in Nova Scotia.

Finally, my parents have a Red-bellied Woodpecker visiting their
feeders in Clydesdale, outside of Antigonish.

Cheers,

Brian
