Centre. The gull was flying and tipping at times to show the black underwings. The upper wings were grey without the white wing wedges and the wings were more rounded than 2 Bonaparte's Gulls that later joined it. Not far away at Chance Harbour- Sinclair's I. were ~ 700 Bonaparte's Gulls and 500 Red-breasted Mergansers and 40 Sanderling. An additional 20 Sanderlings were seen at Boat Harbour. At Powell Pt. Park there were an additional 400 Red-breasted Mergansers. Steve and I were unsuccessful in finding a SNOWY OWL that has been seen on several occasions earlier in the week at the Pictou Landing First Nations. Earlier in the day I discovered a male Wilson's Warbler along the Pioneer Trail in New Glasgow as well as 2 Iceland Gulls at the New Glasgow sewage treatment plant and my first fall American Tree Sparrow at my feeder in Plymouth. On Sat. Nov., I saw an adult LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL at Waterside PP. Harry and Jean Brennan report the return of the Canadian Rocky Mountain Junco on Oct. 23. This junco spent last winter at their Elgin feeder and spent considerable time visiting in the snow on Nov. 2. cheers Ken --Boundary_(ID_ncK1ua40WVWdLCxm1/viXQ) Content-type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <META content="MSHTML 6.00.6000.16735" name=GENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Ken McKenna<BR>Box 218 Stellarton NS<BR>B0K 1S0<BR>902 752-7644<BR>Hi all</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> Sunday Nov. 2, Sreve Vines and I observed an adult <STRONG>LITTLE GULL</STRONG> foraging in the surf in the Northumberland Strait as seen from a cottage at Black Pt.
