Hi James, Hi All, The Lapland Longspur that was at my feeder for 3 days earlier this month spent all its time sitting in trees and bushes when not eating seed under the feeder or feeding in the nearby field. It even flew into a thick blue spruce tree and danced around the trunk 3 times in order to shake off a Merlin that harassed it mercilessly the last two days it was present. - cheers, Clarence

PS: Good Job on the Gyrfalcon ID!
