Dear All, Oct 11, 2008
Today while walking west along Brooklyn St from the intersection
with Cornwallis St. (Kentville) I noticed fresh antlion pits just east
of the first power pole. This activity is unusually late in part because
of location; a solar oven of sorts consisting of sand from a steep
south-facing bank that has sifted through a rock wall onto a concrete
sidewalk.

I doubt that they can survive the highway salt and slush of the
coming winter, unless they are astute enough to tunnel back under the
wall in time, so I will move about half of them up above the rock wall.

Yt, DW, Kentville
