Hi!

The Canadian Institute of Forestry is hosting a mushroom foray September =
20, 2008 in Camp Nedooae, between Middle Musquodoboit and Elderbank.

What's a mushroom foray? You will spend the day going on two field trips =
within the camp or to nearby locations (there will be several groups), to =
see and handle mushrooms first-hand, while experts provide information and =
guidance on their identification (with 5000+ species, they'll come as =
close as they can!), possible uses, and ecology. You will gather specimens =
to return to the Camp, where they will be carefully identified by the =
expert team for subsequent viewing.

We'll also be featuring several presentations by our experts on topics =
including mushroom ecology, cultivation, photography, and edible mushroom =
preservation.

To top it off, we'll be having dinner featuring wild mushroom dishes.

For more information and to register, visit our web site:http://cif-ifc.org=
/ns/mushroom.html
Or e-mail: ns.mushrooms@gmail.com

A notice poster is attached. We would appreciate it if you could print and =
post this, or forward to others who may be interested.

Thank you,

Brendan Hemens

P.S. While we have assembled a team of experts, we would certainly welcome =
more should you be interested. We are also accepting 'donations' from =
knowledgeable pickers of chanterelles to contribute to the evening meal.
