All:

With B as my companion (and ears) I went around Hartlen Pt. this a.m. Small
movement of regional warblers, Least and Alder Flycatcher, but nothing special.
A Greater Yellowlegs and two Western Willet juveniles were at McCormick's
(sp.?) Beach instead of the hordes of Semi Plovers earlier in the week.

The projected track of Hurricane "Hanna" resembles that of "Bob" in 1991, which
brought a few Royal Terns and our first confirmed Sandwich Tern to Brier I. on
20 August.

The predicted northward speed of this Hanna is also about the same as "Bob,"
which was a hurricane off Cape Hatteras 8 p.m 18 Aug., and crossed the NB
border as a tropical storm about 2 a.m. 19 Aug. But, it will be less intense
and its timing will differ. It should be a tropical storm off Hatteras late
a.m. Saturday, and remain a tropical storm when it nears the S. end of NS
during late a.m. on Sunday. It will be interesting to see what it brings.

Keep us informed Murray, Johnny, et al.!

Cheers, Ian
