Hi All=2C=20
A few days ago my niece saw a large owl in a field near my house. I chec=
ked it out and found a young Great-horned Owl that appeared to be unable to=
fly. It allowed close approach (five feet) and then would walk slowly away=
from me=2C wings spread=2C for ten feet or so then stop. I took some video=
and then left. When I returned some hours later the bird was gone. It may =
have been in nearby woods but I was unable to relocate it.
    I've linked http://picasaweb.google.com/atlasmaritimes26/MyDocuments to=
some video captured stills and wondered if anyone knew the birds approxima=
te age and the reason for its strange behaviour. The wings appeared to be O=
K and it showed no fear or aggression. All the best.
