Hi,

Wendy and I had a meeting in Musquodoboit Harbour last evening so we hit the
road in late morning with the intention of looking for shorebirds along the
Eastern Shore on our way.

There were a few yellowlegs (mostly lesser, a few greater) on the mud flats
at Conrad's along with nearly a dozen Bonaparte's Gulls. A few Willets, one
Short-billed Dowitcher and a couple of Black-bellied Plovers were also
present. Last Thursday, we had visited the ocean side beach where we were
able to show a visitor from the UK Piping Plover (one adult, 2 immatures) in
the midst of a large mixed flock of Semi Plovers and Semi Sandpipers. We
were able to pick out a few Least and a couple of White-rumped Sandpipers in
the mix.
