Clouds of phalaropes, and more Greater shearwaters in the showing up in the area. Some sooty shearwaters, wilson storm petrel, puffins, and gannets. Also sighted 5 humpbacks one pair was rooftop and her calf. Her calf decided to breach several times before it was time to go and inspect our boat a little closer with mother and calf swimming underneath of our boat. On land the Eastern Mountain Avens are still in flower, lots of purple fringed orchids, club-spur, and hooded ladies-tresses. Blueberries are in the fruiting stage along with the artic whortleberry-vaccinium uliginosum. Gini Prouxl checked out the Golden crest and she tells me they are doing well.
