The size, broad head and teeth certainly look like the Ocean Pout that I  
used to catch regularly when hand lining for Cod and Haddock. The locals  call 
them Laughing Jacks or Conger eels. There were two pods of Minke whales at  the 
mouth of St Margarets Bay yesterday
