Unless of course Liz is hearkening back to the earliest days of taxonomy,
when any vertebrate that "crawled" was considered a reptile! I remember
being part of a zoology journal club back in the '80s, as a student. I
thought "finally, I have a valid critique about a paper!", but was told
about this different usage of the term.
