July 17 /08
The Guzzle, east tip Long Island, Grand Pre

At high tide today (1.00 p.m.)
800-900 Semipalmated Sandpipers
3 Sanderlings

Joan Bearne reports she and Bob saw ~200 Sandpipers on July 15 (the first of
the
migration for them)in front of their Evangeline Beach cottage, and on July
13th a friend of theirs kayaking along that shoreline noticed a small flock
feeding in a cove to the west of Evangeline Beach.

Also there were about a dozen bass(?) anglers at The Guzzle today.

Cheers,
Judy Tufts
