Index of Subjects A pair of Eastern Phoebe have successfully nested here in Cape Breton at Port Hastings. I was informed by a casual birder a few weeks ago and watched the birds sitting on eggs. The eggs hatched about a week ago and the fledglings are now leaving the nest on occasion and are being fed by the adults. I am involved with the Maritimes Breeding Bird Atlas and note that this is the only breeding confirmation for Eastern Phoebe in Cape Breton to date (three years). There have been a few sightings but no confirmations. -- David W. Johnston Mary K. Johnston 207 Hiram St. Port Hawkesbury N.S. B9A 2C3 902 625 1534 dwj.jem@ns.sympatico.ca
