Hi,
=A0
I tried sending the picture of the slug to Nature NS yesterday but I don't =
believe it went through, nor did another message with attached pictures. No=
t sure why. On Friday evening it was so spectacularly beautiful on Brier Is=
land and nature was at its finest. What a wonderful sunset we had, and I wa=
s on Pond Cove beach at the time and got some great pictures. The black thr=
orated greens were singing, also the common yellowthroat and white throated=
sparrows. And a very special treat was seeing fireflies. I, nor had anyone=
else present, ever heard of fireflies being on Brier Island. I know there =
are some on Long Island. Such amazing critters to watch as they flit about =
in their luminescent coverings. Have any of you Nature NS members who visit=
Brier Island ever seen fireflies here before?
=A0
Have a great day!
