Thank you Lance for your response regarding the slug. The photo you attache=
d shows one looking very much the same as the one I saw. They do appear lon=
ger when they are extending their bodies to move forward. I love discoverin=
g and learning about new things in nature on Brier Island. Even though it's=
 a small piece of land, I suspect it has great numbers and varieties of pla=
nt and animal life.
