My understanding is that not the = entire body is placed in the small "casket" or box or whatever it is = called. The excess material is simply thrown out on the pile in back of = the crematorium. I don't think I would be content to know that any part = of my wife's body was disposed of in this way. Can any one explain = exactly what the proceedure is? Roland. Jane Schlosberg p.s. You may not have given thought to this, but cremation uses a = huge amount of combustible material and also puts considerable = pollutants in the air, particularly if the body has been embalmed and = teeth with mercury fillings have not been removed prior to. We have = been informed that no Nova Scotia crematoria have filters on their = stacks to mitigate this problem. ------=_NextPart_000_0048_01C8E2AD.6A8C0540 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=3DContent-Type content=3D"text/html; = charset=3Diso-8859-1"> <META content=3D"MSHTML 6.00.6000.16674" name=3DGENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2> I am not = particularly=20 interested in "green" cemetaries and burial, but I am interested in = cremation.=20 My understanding is that not the entire body is placed in the small = "casket" or=20 box or whatever it is called.
