Index of Subjects Hi Jim, >I'm wondering if anyone else also heard this radio report and >can comment further on my notes or other relevant information?? The longevity record from banding data (bird in the wild) is now 30 years 9 months. The reference for the 48 years for a captive bird appears to come from the Handbook of Birds of the World, Vol. 1. 1992. I haven't yet tried to check on this via Googling or other Internet sources nor my books and articles. I'm wondering if anyone else also heard this radio report and can comment further on my notes or other relevant information?? Cheers from Jim in Wolfville.
