--=====================_456744562==.ALT Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed Hi all, My thanks to those who responded, both on and off-line. The first dragonfly was a Uhler's Sundragon, Helocordulia uhleri, and is likely not long out of the pupa, as it has blue eyes. The second dragonfly was a Four-spotted Skimmer, Libellula quadrimaculata, also fresh out of the pupa, due to the amber colour on the leading edge of the wings as well as the milkiness of the wings, and the absence of the four spots, which will show up a couple of days later. The butterfly was a Juvenal's Duskywing, Erynnis juvenalis. As always, I learned a lot from the process, and will attempt to take more ode and lep shots as the summer progresses. Cheers, ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Blake Maybank maybank@ns.sympatico.ca Editor, "Nova Scotia Birds" author, "Birding Sites of Nova Scotia" http://maybank.tripod.com/BSNS.htm White's Lake, Nova Scotia, Canada --=====================_456744562==.ALT Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii"

Hi all,

My thanks to those who responded, both on and off-line.

Cheers,

<x-sigsep>
</x-sigsep> -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Blake Maybank
maybank@ns.sympatico.ca

Editor, "Nova Scotia Birds"

author, "Birding Sites of Nova Scotia"
http://maybank.tripod.com/BSNS.htm

White's Lake, Nova Scotia, Canada

--=====================_456744562==.ALT--
