Hi everyone,

When I stepped out for coffee today I heard a singing Black-throated Green
Warbler in the middle of campus, so I decided to do a quick stroll of the
Cross-country trails on campus. This is a euphemism for the last remaining
piece of unkempt scrub on campus with some graveled trail running through
it. This area attracted some nice warblers in the 20's of May in the last
year. I'll have to start bringing my binos and camera to work again :)

2 Black-and-White Warblers (male, singing)
3 Northern Parulas (2m, 1f, singing)
1 Yellow-rumped Warbler (male)
4 Yellow Warblers (First of Year, 2m, 2f, singing)
1 Blackburnian Warbler (FOY, male, singing)
1 Chestnut-sided Warbler (FOY, female)
1 Common Yellowthroat (FOY, male, singing)

Also seen were one Empidonax sp. (presumably Least Flycatcher, if so, my
second of the year, the first being on the 17th of May), and 3 Chimney
Swifts hawking insects overhead.

I also had a few unidentified individuals that I hope to relocate with binos
tomorrow.
