Yes, that's right. People often confuse them on account of both having  
very long legs. :-> On closer examination they are, of course, very  
different since crane flies have six legs and wings while harvestmen  
(daddy longlegs) have eight legs and no wings. :->

Absolutely! More fun facts are that June bugs are not "bugs" but  
beetles (scarab beetles, to whit); fireflies are not "flies" but  
beetles; lady bugs are not "bugs" but beetles; and the proverbial  
"spanish fly" is not made from "flies" but from beetles (from Lytta  
vesicatoria, a species in the blister beetle family, Meloidae). Live  
and learn! :->
