Hi all
Harry and Jean Brennan saw 2 adult Caspian Terns at Moser R., HRM, May 14. They also noted a Red-necked Grebe at Moosehead, HRM, on May 8. It was in basic plumage.
I have an adult male Baltimore Oriole at my oriole feeder this morning (May 16). On migration count day (May10) I had a Virginia Rail in a pond between West Branch and Louisville near River John, Pictou Co. I also had a pair of N. Shoveler at Rushton Beach PP.
It was a reasonably good day for the migration count in Pictou Co. with over 100 species tallied so far including about 9 species of warbler. Te rain held off till 10pm. I still have a handful of people to hear from yet.
cheers
Ken
