Hi everyone:

I spent the day combining the migratory count (49 species, despite the
cool overcast weather that we had for most of the day) with atlassing
in an "untouched"square. I was able to add 19 species to the square
tally. I also added two birds to the square in which I live.
green-winged teal (a pair) and a small flock of pine siskins,

Highlights were an osprey trying to manipulate a big branch as it
started on a nest on top of power poles near Martock, and a small woods
road near Vaughan that had 12 species including warblers
(black-and-white, black-throated green, yellow-rumped, northern parula,
and palm) And a blue-headed vireo for good measure.
