Here are updated in my journal for yesterday and today. Cheers from
Jim in Wolfville.

Apr. 14, 2008 - At home in Wolfville, the FOX SPARROW is still
present, and the CLAY-COLOURED SPARROW, an adult WHITE-CROWNED
SPARROW,one adult male JUNCO, plus 2 PINE SISKINS, 4 AM. GOLDFINCHES
(including 2 males quickly acquiring their breeding colours).

Two species were seen to be GATHERING NESTING MATERIALS: a female N.
CARDINAL and a SONG SPARROW.

And a ROBIN male was foraging in the yard, and also was "merrily"
SINGING earlier (my first robin song heard this year).

Apr. 15, 2008 - Flower buds of AMERICAN ELM are opening now near the
Acadia Arena.

The clay-coloured sparrow and fox sparrow and white-crowned sparrow
were again present at my feeders, plus a male cardinal, 4+ white-
throated sparrows, 2 male juncos, a red-breasted nuthatch, 5
goldfinches, 5+ pheasants, 4 mourning doves, 3 rock pigeons, 2 blue
jays, about 6 bl.-c. chickadees, 2 starlings, 2 grackles, separate
female and male flickers, a downy woodpecker (and one was drumming a
few properties north of ours).
