CRESCENT MOON and PLEIADES
If the evening remains clear (looks promising), the Crescent Moon is
located very near the Pleiades(Tuesday April 8th). They will make a
beautiful sight in binoculars although viewable naked-eye. Located
well up in the west. Between 9 p.m. and 10 would probably be best
viewing time. The crescent Moon show you where the view is
located. Before the Moon sets it will cover the leading corner of
the Pleiades stars, although by then they are getting near the
horizon. In a telescope one can see the Moon eclipse each star , one
by one, starting between 10:30 and 10:45 p.m..
