The Varied Thrush is now singing. Susan Hannah called me yesterday to =
tell me the bird was singing and that there was a female thrush there =
also. I spent a couple of hours in Greenfield today and heard the thrush =
this morning. I stayed in my car so as not to awaken her household so =
could not pinpoint where the song was coming from (it was from behind =
the house). I watched the male thrush for a long time but never did see =
another one. I shall continue my vigil but will wait for a little warmer =
weather when there is little chance of snow. The thrush was coming in to =
feed about every hour. The address is 4841 Rt 210 Greenfield, Queens =
County. If you go there Susan would like you to park in her lane and not =
on the highway.
