My feeders are placed quite high to make it harder for cats to get the =
birds. that means that any deer that raid them have to stand on their =
hind legs to get into the feeder. In the past they have done just that - =
stand on their hind legs and lick the feeder clean of mixed seeds.

  My one bird feeder has been going empty overnight.  I've seen deer =
tracks beside it, but not until this evening was I able to watch a doe =
and her two yearlings feeding directly out of the feeder.   They seem to =

  Today at Mahone Bay a flock of about 185 common redpolls at a feeder =
with a ton of European starlings was a treat to watch. =20
