Hi,

We have two red-eared slider turtles. The male is twenty six years old =
(I got him as a baby), and the female we got as an adult ten years ago. =
My understanding all this time has been that they can only eat in water, =
so they get fed in the sink. They always submerge to swallow their food. =
I'm intrigued by these reports of wood turtles "stomping" to get worms =
to emerge. Are they able to consume food out of water? Have I been =
mistaken all these years in thinking my turtles can't eat unless they're =
in water?

Chris
