Hi everyone,

Today's online poll on the Daily News website is on the Moose River
gold mine controversy. Please take a minute to hop over and vote at:

http://www.hfxnews.ca/

The poll's on the right hand size, just under the Canadian Press
Video-on-Demand box. The question:

------------------
What do you think about the government's approval of a gold mine
project in Moose River?

The answers, as of 7:00 pm --

· The 150 potential jobs are great (21%)
· Fine, so long as there are strict environmental controls (47%)
· Will poison a wilderness area (20%)
· Don't really care (12%)

----------------
By the way, this morning the answers read:

· Great to hear (26%)
· Fine, so long as there are strict environmental controls (49%)
· Bad idea (11%)
· Don't really care (15%)

Someone's editor must have objected!

cheers,
Joanne
