Interesting.   I couldn't find the dunlins anywhere at Crescent Beach, but 
found them feeding on the flats along with some gulls (on the left side of 
the highway).  The plover was  far apart from the dunlins.  That was just 
after the high tide was starting to recede.

 This is just a note to Don MacNeill et al. who have been looking for
Dunlin are overwintering, and have been present since the fall.
 They are reliable at almost anytime, except at high tide. The Black-
belly often feeds on the flats by the bridge to Bush Island. Purple
 Sandpipers can be seen on the rocks at the far end of the beach,
and at high tide are often very close to the beach,  even feeding in
 the weed on the edge of the beach.
