I'm informed by a watchful reader that BOTN DOES change the @ sign to "at" in email addresses. This is the recommended method of making sure that email addresses cannot be recognized by software that is cruising the internet looking for them. Also evidently the email archive is not permanent--old posts drop off as new posts arrive. I apologize for any confusion or concern I might have caused by raising a question about this. WF
