Index of Subjects HI Virginia, unfortunately birds of prey are often hit by cars. Happens either as they are flying across or the road and there have been cases where they have landed to take advantage of other road kill and then get hit themselves. I get hit by car raptors regularly at my wildlife rehab centre, very sad. I don't recall ever seeing a Hawk as road kill. Is this common? Virginia Redden -- Bertha had a whole armload of opinions. She'd go around and collect them and give them to you all at once.
